IDC Releases Salesforce Economy Study

When you launch a new application, naturally, you desire nothing more than success, but when our original mapping application,  Arrowpointe Maps (replaced by Geopointe in 2010) made its debut on the AppExchange in 2007, I’m not sure anyone could have anticipated the strength and success of this dynamic ecosystem.

“If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on.”
– Sheryl Sandberg

We got on that rocket ship called AppExchange, led by one of the fastest growing leaders in the industry, Salesforce, and we’ve been full speed ahead ever since.  This rapid growth is detailed in the recently released white paper by the IDC which focuses on the Salesforce Economy and its contribution and impact to local economies. While the 20 page white paper forecasts Salesforce’s impact on local economies by region, it has greatly impacted our very own Geopointe community of employees, customers and partners.

Through our partnership with Salesforce and as the first geo-location application offered on AppExchange, we’re able to offer customers an easy solution to further customize their Salesforce instance to meet their unique business requirements. Our Customer Success Stories illustrate the value and ROI our customers experience when using Geopointe to address some of their most common needs including:

  • Route planning and optimization
  • Territory management
  • Automated assignment rules
  • Identification & reporting of target markets

Our partner community also continues to expand as we’re able to work with other ISV Partners and Salesforce Consultants to be their trusted geo-location application provider that is simple to install, delivers immediate ROI and outstanding service for their customers. The instrumental measure of impact goes on and on.

Arrowpointe’s Founder and CEO, Scott Hemmeter comments,

“We are proud to be a part of such a robust platform of offerings and I’ve personally taken great pleasure in watching it grow year after year.  We’ve benefited greatly from this ecosystem which has allowed our company to experience rapid, organic growth independently and without third party investments.”

It’s no surprise that this recent white paper which boasts a generous forecast with monumental growth rates is released on the coattails of Salesforce announcing another milestone with four million AppExchange installs and one million Trailhead badges earned. Every year, we celebrate new milestones alongside Salesforce and the years ahead look no different. As the IDC White Paper states;

Worldwide, Salesforce and its ecosystem will enable the creation of 1.9 million jobs within the Salesforce customer base from the use of cloud computing between the end of 2015 and the end of 2020.

And so the journey continues and we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of it.
